ABOUT MArtyn
Most recently, and notably, 2 of Martyn's original songs were nominated for music awards at the Josie's ceremony, held in the prestigious Grand Ole Opry in the home of Country Music, Nashville.
Martyn resurrected his career in April of 2020 with the release of his debut single (If You Could Read My Mind) which hit the No1 spot in the charts. An amazing achievement and his career is rising higher and higher with every release since.
Martyn has music in his history and in his veins. Having appeared on Irish talent show 'Your A Star' and having a successful career in boyband 'Final Four', Martyn went on to support Ireland on stage in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul, Turkey.
He is back with force, after an extended break, having released several singles since 2021, reaching No.1 spots on the Irish iTunes Charts, writing and releasing his own original music, having a sold out show in the renowned Dolans Warehouse in his hometown in Limerick, to now hitting the road to Nashville to attend an awards ceremony, in recognition of his original music!
Martyn had huge success with his debut single 'If You Could Read My Mind’ in April 2021, when the song went to No.1 on the mainstream overall Irish iTunes charts on it's first day of release and remained there for 38 hours. There was also a dance version released soon after, during the summer of 2021, which was produced by two Ibiza Headlining DJs (Exhale and Breathe Out Remix).
Martyn has gone on to release three of his own original songs 'Blended Family', 'The Old Man' and 'Jenny & Johnny', which also trended extremely well in the charts. Blended Family was written from personal experience, having his own Blended Family, but thousands of families across the world are 'Blended' and can relate to the story of this song. 'The Old Man' was written about the loss or idea of loss of the 'Old Man' in your life, whether that be a parent or grand parent. It talks about the feeling and story of loss and how much these people mean to us and the impact they had on our lives.

Martyn's 3rd original single release 'Jenny & Johnny', a beautiful story of how an orphaned boy and girl, despite their difficult childhoods, find love in each other. With no biological parents since birth, a young man and young woman navigate through the life they have been dealt. Unbeknown to each other, they were meant to be… and their paths led them to each other.
A not so average love story about not so average people!

Martyn went on to release his version of Whiskey Lullaby, a Christmas release named 'The Gift' and 'Summer In Dublin' in honour of the late Liam Reilly.

Martyn also worked with two seasoned song-writers from Nashville on another song 'Half A Mind' which was released on 28th July 2024.

Martyn has now released 'Be Mine', which is an original song (written by Shane Butler and Ian Colgan), on the 14th February 2025. This is a song about love, losing it and the 'kinda' love that everyone needs in their life.

New Release incoming: Martyn will be releasing his 4th original self-penned song 'Standing Next To Me' on the 6th April 2025. A stunningly romantic song of love and commitment.

Martyn started back on his musical journey in late 2019 and worked his way through covid and numerous lock-downs, writing lyrics and recording songs as soon as studios were reopened. He persevered and continued to do what he could within his remit and focused hard on marketing himself via social media and building his brand.
